I don’t know why, but it’s always been easier for me to focus on what’s wrong with myself and others. Problem is, it brings me down, making me lonely, depressed, and sometimes friendless. Lately, I’ve tried to focus more on the positive, which is hard, (at first, I could hardly think of even two good things). But I’ve practiced, and it’s becoming easier and more natural. Now when I see my friends, I tell them good things I see in them. That makes me feel better and it seems they want to be with me. I think it’s true - encouraging each other is worth the effort.
